RECRUITS THANKSGIVING DINNER, 2024
The Elmhurst Legion Post and the Great Lakes Naval Station are proud to announce we are
continuing the Thanksgiving Day dinner for the Navy recruits on November 28, 2024.
We are asking for volunteers to help the Legion host the recruits in several positions:
Riding up and back on the buses to pick up the recruits, welcome the recruits upon arrival at the
Legion with a flag ceremony, help set up computers, donate cell phones for recruits to call home,
help setting up tables, assist food servers, bus boy service, and help with cleanup after the event.
The dinner program will last from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. You may volunteer your time for all or
some of the above functions that day, approximately 7:00 am set up through 5:00 pm cleanup.
Two hours of help (or more if you are available) is greatly appreciated!
